OptiTest 10
Insertion Loss Measuring Device The OptiTest 10 is a precision testing instrument used to measure the insertion loss of POF cable assemblies. A unique connector centering / holding system, sophisticated electronics and software combine to provide a measuring accuracy of +/- 0.02 dB.
Function
The OptiTest 10 determines the optical loss of the cable to be tested by comparing its loss to that of a reference or “golden” cable. Inserting the cable into the machine triggers the test cycle; the connectors are centered and locked into position and the measurement is taken. The measured value is displayed on a PC and filed in a log file.

- Measuring of both male and female MOST ferrules without any tooling changeover
- Maximum offset of test sample to measuring optics is +/- 0.015 mm due to high precision of centering system
- Cables which do not meet preset insertion loss values are held by the machine until they are released by a key switch
- Easy to use graphical user interface with a large variety of adjustment and programming possibilities
- The OptiTest 10 can communicate with computers using the “DIN Messbus” interface
