WireTwist 500
Programmable Twisting Machine The WireTwist 500 is a programmable benchtop twisting machine for single wires from 0.25 mm2 up to 2.5 mm2 (23 – 13 AWG). Twisting single wires gives the twisted wire (e.g. twisted pair) a higher stability and improved protection against electromagnetic interference. The machine consists of an electric driven power unit and a compact holding unit.
Function
The standard configuration will accept stripped or crimped wires either with or without seals. Final twisted wire length will depend on the wire diameter and the number of twists required. The minimum untwisted wire length is approx. 330 mm (13”) and the maximum length is approx. 2.000 mm (79”). With longer wire lengths a wire guide can be used between drive unit and holding unit.
