Applicator Uni KNNG III

Applicator Uni KNNG III
Crimping tool with 40 mm stroke (KNNG)

Overview

A tool intended for crimping contacts in a strip, ordered transversely and longitudinally. The UNI KNNG III can crimp these contacts onto wires ranging from 0.13 mm2 to 4.0 mm2 (AWG 26–11).

The tool crimps the contacts to the desired conductor using crimping dies and anvils. The upper tool head, which is fitted with crimping dies, moves vertically, and the lower fixed part of the tool, which is fitted with an anvil and a cutting assembly for separating the contact from the carrier strip, is stationary. The guidance of the movable hardened head with dies is precisely defined by means of bronze guides. Precise crimping and a sealed crimped joint (documented by a test report and cross-section analysis) guarantee the highest level of conductor and contact processing quality.

UNI KNNG III is a fully hardened crimping tool with pneumatic contact feed. It can be set to both feeding variants (the contact enters the position during crimping or when the crimping head returns to the basic position) with a simple operation.

The design of the tool allows its use on various crimping presses and automatic machines. The tool is developed in a tool shop with a long-standing tradition of producing precise crimping mechanics.
